East Montgomery County is set to welcome a major new residential development with the upcoming launch of The Preserve at Plum Creek. Houston-based developer Hines is spearheading the massive 1,000-acre project, located off Plum Creek Drive just west of Highway 242, strategically positioned in the growing corridor between Interstate 45 and U.S. Highway 59.

The Preserve at Plum Creek plans call for approximately 2,200 homes, offering a diverse mix of single-family houses and townhomes on various lot sizes, including initial offerings of 40-foot wide lots. Construction is anticipated to commence with a groundbreaking planned for Spring 2024. Hines expects model homes and the first phase of residences to become available for prospective buyers by Fall 2025.

A significant focus for Hines is the creation of a vibrant, amenity-rich community. The master plan allocates approximately 200 acres to green space and extensive recreational features. For the initial phase of home construction, Hines has partnered with prominent builders including Westin Homes, Ashton Woods, Empire Communities, and David Weekley Homes. Homes in The Preserve at Plum Creek are projected to start in the mid-$300,000s.
