Missing Man Andrew Hogue Found Safe in Montgomery Co.

MONTGOMERY, Texas – June 19, 2024 – Andrew T. Hogue, the 43-year-old Montgomery man who went missing earlier this week, has been safely located, bringing a positive end to an extensive search effort. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) confirmed Hogue was found safe late Tuesday afternoon, June 18th.

Authorities did not immediately release details regarding Hogue’s exact location when he was found or the specific circumstances of his disappearance, citing privacy. However, officials confirmed he was in good health and has been reunited with his family.

Hogue had last been seen on Monday, June 17th, 2024, around 7:00 PM. He was observed in the Montgomery area, specifically near the intersection of FM 1488 and Fish Creek, driving his white 2020 Toyota Tacoma. The area is a mix of residential developments and undeveloped land, posing challenges for search efforts.

Concerns for his well-being were quickly raised by his family, prompting the MCSO to classify him as endangered and launch a significant search operation. The Sheriff’s Office issued alerts to the public, asking for assistance in locating Hogue and his distinctive vehicle, and shared information across local media and social media platforms.

The MCSO mobilized a wide array of resources in its efforts to locate Hogue. Search teams included ground units, specialized K9 teams, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) for aerial surveillance, and All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) to navigate difficult terrain. This multi-faceted approach was crucial in systematically covering the expansive search area.

A spokesperson for the MCSO expressed relief at the positive outcome. “We are pleased to confirm that Mr. Hogue has been safely located and is no longer considered missing,” an MCSO representative stated. “We appreciate the collaborative efforts of our deputies, volunteer organizations, and the Montgomery County community for their vigilance and assistance during this search.”

With Hogue found safe, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has concluded its active investigation into his disappearance. No further details are expected to be released regarding the matter.
