Mont Co Primary Early Voting Schedule & Locations

Montgomery County voters are gearing up for the March 5, 2024 Primary Election, with early voting locations and hours now officially set. The Montgomery County Commissioners Court unanimously approved the schedule, presented by Elections Administrator Suzie Harvey, ensuring residents have ample opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day.

Early voting will commence on Tuesday, February 20, and conclude on Friday, March 1, 2024, providing a nearly two-week window for participation. Throughout the first segment, from February 20 to February 24, and again from February 26 to March 1, polls will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM. A special Sunday voting session is scheduled for February 25, from 12 PM to 5 PM. For added convenience during the final week, from February 26 to March 1, early voting hours will be extended, running from 7 AM to 7 PM.

To maximize accessibility, 20 early voting locations will be available across Montgomery County. These include prominent sites such as the Elections Administrator’s Office in Conroe, the South County Community Building in The Woodlands, the Northwest Branch Library in Montgomery, the East County Annex in New Caney, and the Magnolia Event Center, among others. This primary election is crucial for registered voters to select their party’s nominees for various local, state, and federal offices. Key races on the ballot include candidates for President, U.S. Congress, Texas State Legislature, and numerous county positions. Voters will be asked to choose either a Republican or Democratic ballot when they arrive at the polls.

Voters are reminded that a valid photo identification is required to cast a ballot in Texas. Acceptable forms of ID include a Texas Driver’s License, Texas Personal Identification Card, Texas Election Identification Certificate, Texas Handgun License, U.S. Military Identification Card, U.S. Citizenship Certificate, or U.S. Passport. For those who do not possess one of these forms of identification, there are options for provisional voting. Voters can verify their registration status and view sample ballots specific to their precinct on the Elections Office website.

Election Day itself is Tuesday, March 5, when polls countywide will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.
