**Convicted Felon Apprehended in Magnolia with Stolen Truck, Firearm; Faces Multiple Felony Charges**

Magnolia, TX – A multi-agency operation on Sunday, May 19th, in Magnolia resulted in the arrest of a convicted felon allegedly driving a stolen vehicle and illegally possessing a firearm. William Randall Taylor, 43, was taken into custody near the 10100 block of FM 1488, and now faces serious felony charges in addition to an active parole violation warrant.

The incident unfolded when the Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force was patrolling the area and spotted a 2022 Ford F-250 pickup truck. Investigators identified the vehicle, driven by Taylor, as having been reported stolen from Houston. Deputies from the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office were immediately notified and successfully conducted a traffic stop on the suspect.

During the stop, deputies discovered Taylor in possession of a firearm and ammunition. A subsequent background check revealed Taylor to be a convicted felon, legally prohibited from owning or possessing firearms. Authorities also confirmed an active parole violation warrant for Taylor, stemming from a previous Aggravated Robbery charge.

Taylor has been formally charged with Theft of Property, a second-degree felony, given the stolen Ford F-250’s value, which exceeds $30,000. He also faces a third-degree felony charge for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Following his arrest, Taylor was booked into the Montgomery County Jail. His bond has been set at $50,000 for each of the new felony charges, totaling $100,000. He remains in custody awaiting further legal proceedings related to these charges and his outstanding parole violation. The collaborative efforts of the Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force and the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office underscore ongoing efforts to combat property crime and enhance public safety in the region.
